The Newtownforbes- Longford Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is all set to host Fleadh Cheoil Longfoirt on April 5, 6 and 7 following a successful launch in Newtownforbes last Friday evening.
There will be competitions held over the three days and music sessions in the pubs each night, ensuring everyone in Newtownforbes - and those who plan to visit that weekend - will have an enjoyable few nights.
This year, there will be a concert in the PJ Murphy Hall at Clonguish GAA Complex on Friday, April 5, at 7.30pm.
Hundreds of people are expected to travel to the village of Newtownforbes for the three day event.
There will be ceol agus craic in the three pubs, and competitions kicking off on each of the three days.
All over Longford, young musicians are busy practicing their tunes, hoping for success and a chance to represent the county at the Leinster Fleagh, which this year is being held in Athyboy/Ráth Chairn, Co Meath in July.
