Longford Variety Group hosting show launch night for everyone

Longford Variety Group announces Launch Night for “Here We Go Again” at PVs this Friday, September 26.

The group will kick off the season for its 2025 production, “Here We Go Again,” with a launch night at PVs (Ballymahon Street, Longford) from 9:00pm. The night is open to all members, past and present, and the local community.

“Our launch night is all about saying thank you to Longford and getting everyone excited for the upcoming show,” said Charlie Murray, Chairperson of Longford Variety Group. “Every ticket we sell and every event we run goes straight back into local schools and charities, by the community, for the community.”

Founded in the 90’s, Longford Variety Group has become a fixture of the local arts calendar, raising well over €300,000 to date for Longford Hospice Homecare, St Christopher’s Services, Melview National School, St Joseph’s National School and other community organisations. After a sold-out fundraiser this year, of the “Who’s That Behind the Mask?” event and their first-ever dance intensive in June, the group is building up for their annual show.

About the 2025 production: 

“Here We Go Again” is a high-energy variety spectacular of music, comedy and dance, directed by Charlie Murray and Kevin Hussey, with choreography by Chloe Brady, and comedy direction from Kim Creevy Finnan and Tríona Fitzgerald. The show runs Wednesday 19th – Saturday 22nd November at Backstage Theatre, including a special Sensory Matinee on Saturday afternoon. All proceeds support local charities and schools.
