WATCH LIVE: Storm Jocelyn tracker as vicious Atlantic weather hits Ireland
Storm Jocelyn is bearing down on Ireland at the rate of knots just a day after Storm Isha battered the country with heavy rain and strong winds.
Jocelyn is the tenth named storm of the season and the second major storm to hit Ireland in 2024. Met Éireann has already issued a raft of warnings.
A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Donegal as 'Storm Jocelyn' approaches. The weather warning, which is valid from 6pm on Tuesday until 2am on Wednesday, could bring large coastal waves, very difficult travelling conditions and fallen trees.
A Status Orange wind warning has also been issued for Galway and Mayo. The weather warning is in place from 6pm on Tuesday until 12am on Wednesday. Met Éireann say "Storm Jocelyn will bring very strong southwest to west winds with severe and damaging gusts."
Also on Tuesday, a Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Roscommon, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Galway and Mayo.
