Clonguish’s Magnificent Seven! Longford ladies crowned All-Ireland Club 7’s Champions

Clonguish U15 Girls and their management team who were crowned CHILL Ladies Football U15 All-Ireland Club 7’s Champions on Saturday in Kilmacud Crokes

A massive congratulations to the magnificent Clonguish U15 Girls and their management team who were crowned CHILL Ladies Football U15 All-Ireland Club 7’s Champions on Saturday last in Kilmacud Crokes GFC. 

The girls topped their group with victories over Ballinderry Shamrocks (Derry champions), Carbury (Kildare) and Garrycastle (Westmeath champions) before a stunning run through the knockout stages:

Quarter-Final: Beat Fergus Rovers (Clare) – Division 2 Féile Champions – by one point

Semi-Final: Beat Claregalway (Galway) – Division 1 Féile Champions – by one point

Final: Beat Charlestown (Mayo) – Division 1 Féile semi-finalists – to lift the title!

In total, the girls defeated four Division 1 teams and the champions of Derry, Westmeath, Galway and Mayo, an incredible achievement!

Alisha Manning captained the side, while Sophia Carey was named Player of the Tournament.
