Rathcline clubman Gareth Johnston is poised to join Paddy Christie's Longford senior football backroom team.
In a statement issued this evening, Monday, August 28, Longford GAA County Board announced that Rathcline clubman Gareth Johnson will be put forward for ratification as Longford Senior football selector at the next meeting of Coiste Chontae Longfort.
Gareth is vastly experienced and previously managed Longford Minor football teams in 2014 and 2021-22 and he will replace Michael Kenny (Mostrim) as a selector with the Senior football management team.
The statement concluded, "Longford GAA wish to thank Michael for his contribution and commitment as selector with the Longford Senior football team over the past twelve months and we wish him all the best as he takes up a new teaching role."
