Longford Town FC away to Bray in new season start on Friday February 13

First home league fixture against Cobh on Saturday February 21

Longford Town FC are away to Bray Wanderers in their opening fixture in the 2026 SSE Airtricity League First Division with the game at the Carlisle grounds on Friday February 13, kick-off 7.45pm. 

The first home game next season for Longford is against Cobh Ramblers who come to Bishopsgate on Saturday February 21, kick-off 7.30pm. The Town are back on the road the following weekend against Kerry FC at Mounthawk Park in Tralee on Friday February 27.

The ten teams in the 2026 SSE Airtricity League First Division will play each other four times, meaning a total of 36 fixtures to determine the title winners with the clubs finishing in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th positions making it through to the promotion play-offs.

The First Division champions will earn automatic promotion to the Premier Division.

Round 1

Friday 13 February: Bray Wanderers v Longford Town, Carlisle Grounds, 7.45pm 

Round 2

Saturday 21 February: Longford Town v Cobh Ramblers, Bishopsgate, 7.30pm

Round 3

Friday 27 February: Kerry FC v Longford Town, Mounthawk Park, kick-off 7.45pm 

Round 4

Saturday 7 March: Longford v UCD, Bishopsgate, kick-off 7.30pm 

Round 5

Friday 13 March: Cork City v Longford Town, Turner’s Cross, 7.45pm 

Round 6

Saturday 21 March: Longford Town v Wexford FC, Bishopsgate, kick-off 7.30pm 

Round 7

Saturday 28 March: Longford Town v Finn Harps, Bishopsgate, kick-off 7.30pm 

Round 8

Friday 3 April: Treaty United v Longford Town, Markets Field, kick-off 7.45pm 

Round 9 

Monday 6 April (Easter Bank Holiday): Athlone Town v Longford Town, Athlone Town Stadium, kick-off 5pm
