Longford County Council and Breffni Insulation sign for retrofit works

The signing of contracts for the Energy Efficiency Retrofit works to 19 units at St Matthew’s Park, Ballymahon, took place recently between Longford County Council and Breffni Insulation.


The works have commenced and are due to be completed by February 2026.

Works include attic/cavity wall insulation, external insulation, window and door replacement, heat pump installation and associated works.


These works are part of a national commitment by the Government under the Local Authority Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme (EERP) to retrofit 36,500 Local Authority Homes by 2030.

These homes will achieve a minimum B2 BER rating after the works have been completed.
