'Opening of Longford gym a standout success' as local business wins two major awards
Snap Fitness wins on the double at the prestigious Irish Franchise Association Awards
Snap Fitness has secured a major double win at the prestigious Irish Franchise Association Awards, taking home both the Overall Franchisor of the Year and Franchise of the Year - Non-Food titles at a ceremony held in Dublin.
The awards celebrate excellence across Ireland’s franchising sector, with Snap Fitness recognised for its strong operational model, franchisee support and sustained growth across the Republic of Ireland.
The brand’s rapid momentum in Ireland has been a key driver behind the accolades, with Snap Fitness now operating seven gyms in the country. In particular, the opening of its Longford gym in 2025 proved to be a standout success, breaking Snap Fitness’ global presale membership record.
Mike Kelly, Property & Acquisitions Manager for Snap Fitness in Ireland, welcomed the award wins and paid tribute to the brand’s franchise network: “Winning both these awards is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with Snap Fitness in Ireland.
“The success of our Longford opening, which set a new global presale record, demonstrates the growing appetite for high-quality, convenient fitness solutions across Ireland. We’re incredibly proud of what’s been achieved so far, and we’re excited to build on this momentum with further expansion planned for 2026.”
The awards were collected on the night by Mike Kelly alongside Dalvinder and Sam Aujla, as well as wider members of the franchise ownership group behind Snap Fitness’ locations in Sligo and Longford. To find out more, visit www.snapfitness.com/ie.
