A new phone text scam is doing the rounds.
People in Longford have been warned of a phone text pretending to be from gardaí which attempt to trick people into paying money for fines.
Please note gardaí do not send fines by text.
Scams work by panicking people into taking action.
Always verify before sharing your information.
