Millions of tyres are discarded every year creating scrap piles of rubber, which leak hazardous materials into the environment as they decompose. They also pose a serious fire risk. Natural rubber production from the rubber tree is the leading cause of deforestation in Asia. Recycling tyres helps to reduce their negative environmental effect.
Materials used: Old bicycle tyre parts - handle bars, saddle, tyres, chains, soccer shin pads, old tulle curtain, fish wire, nails, nuts and bolts.
