Troubled Waters

Our costume represents how toxic waste and oil spillages are extremely harmful to aquatic and human life. Plastic trash is found in the guts of more than 90% of the world's sea birds, turtles and whales. It is predicted that by 2050 the mass of plastic in the oceans will exceed the mass of fish that live there. Large oil spills are major environmental disasters which is shown by the use of black in our costume. Consequences from oil spills to ecosystems can be felt for decades.
Materials used: Turkey feathers, black refuse sacks, blue sandwich bags, netting from fruit packaging, hula hoop, rope
