An urgent social media appeal was issued on Monday evening after a young boy was found alone "in the middle of the road" in Co Cavan.
Cavan GAA County Board put out the appeal on social media after the boy was spotted in his pyjamas. They also said he was non-verbal.
Their post read: "Young boy found in middle of road in Cavan town approximately 7 to 10 yrs old. He is non verbal and his parents might not know he’s missing at all as he’s in his pyjamas.
"He is safe now but his parents need to be found ASAP."
The incident was reported to Cavan Garda Station with followers urged to contact the station if they had information.

The urgent appeal garnered hundreds of comments on social media and an update was provided later on Monday evening.
"Parents found and child back with them, thank God. Thanks to all for sharing so quickly," Cavan County Board said.
