Gardai have expressed concerns for the wellbeing of 32-year-old Stephen O'Sullivan from Ballyphehane in Cork city

Gardaí have issued a public appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of a 32-year-old man who has not been seen for a number of days.

In an appeal, issued this Saturday afternoon, they say Stephen O'Sullivan from Ballyphehane in Cork city has not been seen since Wednesday afternoon.

"Stephen was last seen in Dublin city in the Parkgate Street area," said a spokesperson who added that Stephen is described as being approximately 6 foot in height, of medium build, with reddish-brown hair and blue eyes.

Stephen has a tattoo of three stars behind his right ear and, according to gardai, when last seen, he was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit.

In their appeal for assistance, gardaí say both they and Stephen's family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of thr 32-year-old is asked to contact Anglesea Street garda station in Cork City on 021 452 2000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.

Separately, gardaí have issued an appeal for help in locating a 16-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly a week.

They are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Jake Cunningham Burke from Mountmellick in County Laois, who has not been seen since June 16. 

In their appeal, issued this Saturday morning, they say Jake is described as being approximately 5 feet in height, with a slim build, black hair and green eyes. 

A spokesperson added that investigating gardai believe the teenager may have travelled from his home in Laois to the Carlow area.
