To save yourself some time and hassle, preparing for security before arriving at the airport is highly recommended

Travellers flying out of Cork Airport this coming June Bank Holiday Weekend are being urged to make alternative parking arrangements, if not booked already. 

The airport will welcome a total of 68,500 arriving and departing passengers, with Sunday, June 1 being the busiest day of the long weekend.

As a result of this, Cork Airport have no capacity left in their car parks and have issued several recommendations across social media for departing passengers.

A spokesperson for the busy airport said, "Our car parks are completely full this weekend. If you have not booked a space for this weekend, we recommend opting for another way of getting to the airport including public transport, taxi or drop-off, where appropriate."

Along with this, passengers are being encouraged to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their flight is due to depart. This will allow ample time to clear security, browse around the duty-free and relax with a coffee before take-off.
