Searches for 13-year-old girl stood down as gardai issue update

Aliyah Smyth Donnelly has been located 'safe and well'

Searches for a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing over the weekend have been stood down,  gardai have confirmed.

In an appeal, issued on Sunday afternoon, gardaí sought assistance from members of the public in tracing the whereabouts of Aliyah Smyth Donnelly who was last seen shortly after 4pm on Saturday in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

A number of searches were carried out on Saturday and Sunday and in an update, issued this Monday morning, gardai confirmed there has been a positive update.

"Aliyah Donnelly, 13 years, who had been missing from Dublin 15, has been located safe and well. We would like to thank the public and media for their assistance," read a short statement from Garda Press Office.
Gardai have not publicly disclosed any information as the circumstances which led to the teenager being located.
