One man is due to appear in court this morning in relation to an arson attack at a premises on New Year’s Eve.
The incident took place at a pub in Ringsend, Dublin 4 on December 31, 2023.
Initially, three individuals were arrested, two males in their 30s and 50s and a female in her 20s.
Gardaí have now confirmed a man has been charged and will appear in court this Thursday morning, March 21.
Following a garda warrant search of four properties in February 2024, a number of items including electronic devices were seized.
The fire broke out in a disused pub on Thorncastle Street on New Year's Eve, which had been earmarked to be used to house homeless families.
Anti-immigrant protests were held around the building at the time in response to false claims that it was to accommodate asylum seekers.
One man in his 40s has been arrested and charged as part of this investigation, gardaí have confirmed, and he is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice Court No. 4, this morning at approximately 10.30am.
