An investigation is underway following allegations that Tusla placed vulnerable children into unregulated emergency accommodation.
The Dáil has heard that a garda investigation is underway following allegations that the child and family agency placed vulnerable children into unregulated emergency accommodation.
Simon Harris, Minister for Higher Education, said a garda investigation was ongoing after the agency's "new internal compliance unit" brought the issue to light.
Mr Harris was replying to Pearse Doherty, who told the Dail that Tesla placed vulnerable children into unregulated emergency accommodation, run by a company which “fabricated” the pre-employments screenings of their staff.
