NCT testers blast no-shows as waiting lists extend to months for some drivers
NCT testers have blasted no-shows as one of the reasons other drivers are waiting so long for a test date.
In a short statement, NCT said: "NCTS are still experiencing high levels of customer no-shows. NCTS ask that customers attend their booked appointments or cancel early so other vehicle owners can utilise the booking appointment time."
They advised that people can cancel or rearrange their test appointment at www.ncts.ie or by phoning 014135992.
After a number of people responded to their post on social media complaining about the long wait times for an appointment, testers revealed a way drivers can get a date within days or weeks.
They advised: "Should you require an earlier appointment than online, please contact NCT on 014135992 or go online and place your vehicle on our priority list (available in the booking application). We will endeavour to get you an appointment within the next 28 days."
