MCDONALD'S is set to open their first spinoff restaurant specifically for the ‘TikTok’ era according to experts.
The restaurant will be drive thru only and will be known as CosMc's.
McDonald’s will test the new restaurant in the United States before considering worldwide chains.
The fast-food chain will open the first CosMc's in Illinois this week, with plans to open 10 locations in the United States by the end of 2024.
If the restaurants are received well in America, the new chain will be rolled out in many countries around the world with the aim of having 10,000 CosMc’s worldwide in the next four years which will bring the total number of chains to 50,000.

The name of the new chain comes from nostalgia as McDonald’s named the new restaurant after an alien character CosMc appeared in the popular franchise’s advertisements in the 80s and 90s.
McDonald's took to their new CosMc’s Instagram page in a post to say: “We come from a place where gravity doesn't exist and galaxies are travelling at light speed. so if you need a bold flavorful boost and a quick getaway we got the drinks and bites you need to take you to your happy place.”
The menu includes favourites such as the Egg McMuffin and M&M McFlurry, along with new items such as Churro Frappes and pretzel bites.
It's being advertised as "a new small-format, beverage-led" location to grab a snack or coffee on the go.
