'He should have used crayons' - driver caught by gardaí with fake tax disc they drew

A driver whose tax disc was out of date by over 100 days, drew a fake one which they displayed on their car.

Gardaí from the Trim District were on patrol on Friday and came across a parked car with this tax disc displayed.

Gardaí say the tax was out 108 days so the driver tried to 'draw' a tax disc on the reverse side of an old disc!

The car was seized and a criminal prosecution is set to follow.

And the posting of the offending tax disc has drawn quite a response on social media.

One person commented it needed "a pack of crayons to jazz it up".

Another said "great forgery, in fairness," with more than a hint of sarcasm, while a similar tone was taken with the person who commented "high tech today is something else".
