A serious road traffic collision has occurred along the N11
A major Irish road has been closed due to a serious traffic incident.
Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of a road traffic collision on the N11 at Oylgate Co. Wexford.
The incident took place on the Enniscorthy side of the village at around 8.30 a.m on Friday morning. Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to expect major delays.
It is understood that a man was airlifted to hospital from the scene, though the nature of his injuries are unknown.
In a statement Gardaí confirmed: "The collision occurred just north of Oylgate and the N11 is currently closed. Local diversions are in place so motorists are advised to expect traffic disruption in the area."
