Woman in the Midlands reported missing as family appeal for help

A Midlands woman has been reported missing in Dublin, with her sister appealing for help. 

Gardaí are concerned for her well-being and are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 26-year-old Mary Lou Nevin.

They say that she is missing from her home in Ballymun, Dublin 11 since the evening of Sunday, March 5.

She was last seen at approximately 6pm.

There is local concern in Mountmellick, where the Nevin family live.

There was much sadness throughout the region following the death of Rhona Rose McKiernan, Killyfana, Redhills, Cavan (age 6).

Her sister is Marguerita Nevin.

"Please if anyone has seen or spoken to my sister please let me and my family no we are very worried and concerned because this isn’t like her and so out of character for her please sister contact us or please come home sister I’m heartbroken it’s been 48 hours," she wrote on social media.

Social influencer Hughie Maughan has asked for help to find Mary Lou.

"She’s from Laois but was up staying with me and just went off to the shop and hasn’t returned and has barely any contact and none since before 12 Saturday x" Mr Maughan said in a comment on the Missing Persons Ireland Facebook post.


 
Mary Lou is described as being 5’7” in height with a medium build, dark hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a navy sweater, black leggings and black and white runners.  
  
Anyone with information on Mary Lou’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ballymun Garda Station 01 666 4400 on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
