Longford gardaí arrest learner driver on cocaine and cannabis
Longford gardaí arrested a learner driver who tested positive for cocaine and cannabis on Friday.
It was the second consecutive day that the local Roads Policing Unit arrested a driver under the influence of drugs.
On St Patrick's Day, Longford RPU stopped a motorist while driving unaccompanied and the driver subsequently tested positive for cocaine and was arrested.

A retired old age pensioner has branded being fined €100 for the non display of tax on his car in Longford town over two years ago as a “farce”.
While on Friday, Longford RPU stopped a learner driver who was discovered driving unaccompanied. The driver then tested positive for cocaine and cannabis and was arrested.
Court proceedings are to follow.
