Longford Motoring Alert: Plan an alternative route as N55 between Edgeworthstown and Granard will be CLOSED
Motorists travelling through Longford this week along the N55 can expect disruption as the main route between Edgeworthstown and Granard will be closed from Monday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 12 between 8am and 6pm.
Longford County Council explains that the reason for the closure is to facilitate road improvement works.
Alternative Route:
From Granard traffic will be diverted via the R194 & the R396 towards Abbeylara, followed by the R395 towards Edgeworthstown.
From Edgeworthstown traffic will be diverted via the R395 towards Coole, then onto the R396 followed by the R194 towards Granard.
