Temporary road closures are set to cause disruption on two busy Longford arteries, the N55 and N63.

Road resurfacing works are scheduled to commence on the N55 between Carrickedmond Church and Ballyglassin on Monday, November 12. The road will remain open on Monday and Tuesday, November 13 with traffic management in place.
However, the road will be closed from Wednesday, November 14 to Friday, November 23 from 8am to 6pm each day, (excluding the weekend).

Traffic will be diverted via the N4 Edgeworthstown to Longford, and the N63 and R392 from Longford to Ballymahon via Kenagh.
Longford County Council has advised that local access will be maintained.
N63 between Ballymacormack and Lanesboro
The N63 between Ballymacormack and Lanesboro will be closed 24hrs, from Wednesday, November 14 to Friday, November 23, to facilitate the road overlay and reconstruction works.
Traffic will be diverted at Ballymacormack Crossroads to Terlicken (R397) and then onto Lanesboro via the R392. Local access will be maintained.
