ALERT | Longford motorists warned over road closures along N55 and in north of county
Longford motorists are being warned to expect delays over road closures along the N55 and also in the north of county.
The N55 between Ballymahon and Edgeworthstown remains closed owing to a significant Uisce Éireann pipes replacement project and there are also road closures to facilitate repairs and improvement works.

Road Closure L-1037-0 Smear to Arva Road
The L-1037-0 Smear to Arva Road will be CLOSED from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 28. Northbound Traffic (from Aughnacliffe) - should divert at Smear Stores along the L-1028 to Moyne Cross and via R198 to Arva. Southbound traffic (from Arva) – should ivert via R198 to Moyne Cross and via L-1028 to Smear Stores/Aughnacliffe road.
This road closure is required to facilitate Road Reconstruction and Junction Sightline Improvement Works. Traffic Management and Diversions will be in place for the duration of the works. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.

Roadworks on R194 in Ballinalee Village
There will be roadworks on R194 in Ballinalee Village between 8am and 4pm from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 7, inclusive. Traffic Lights/Stop and Go system will be in place.

Temporary Road Closure L-51611 Ringowny
The L-51611 Ringowney will be closed between 8am and 4pm from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 7 to facilitate road repairs.

The L-1055 Kilnacarrow between its junctions with R194 and L-1056 will be closed between 8am and 4pm from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 7 to facilitate road repairs.
