The Avery Dennison Foundation ‘Granting Wishes Programme’, recently donated €6,506.45 to Longford’s RehabCare Unit. This gesture continues the foundation's work over the last eleven years assisting over 400 different organisations across Asia, Europe, Latin America and the United States.
In 2022, Avery Dennison and the Avery Dennison Foundation contributed more than €4.7 million to Communities worldwide. The focus is on 5 key areas: Education, Sustainability, Women’s Empowerment, Disaster Relief and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
All across Ireland, RehabCare offers anyone living with a disability or disadvantage the personalised individual support they need to live their lives as fully and independently as possible.
The donation of Avery Dennison Medical will help this work continue into the future of Longford Day Service. Caroline Clarke, Programme Supervisor thanked Avery Dennison Medical and stated that Longford RehabCare Day Service operates across 3 service locations, serving 21 service users and they will greatly benefit from this donation.
The donation also marks another milestone of Avery Dennison Medical’s impact on Longford since the corporation acquired Finesse Medical in 2017, with the company now employing over 280 people in the town.
On any given day, hundreds of millions of people are touched by the things made by Avery Dennison Medical. Avery Dennison Medical is on a mission to create even more local jobs, enhance patient outcomes worldwide, and shape the future of the medical manufacturing industry both locally and abroad.
“Avery Dennison Medical is committed to its medical businesses, to the continued development of its outstanding medical manufacturing capabilities, and to the vibrant professional community here at Longford that has generated this remarkable success story” said Martin Dowd, General Manager.
He added “ We are delighted to support RehabCare with their great work locally”.
