A north Longford national school has received the go ahead from local authority planners for the proposed construction of an extension.
The Board of Management of St Patrick's Killeen National School, Muckerstaff, Granard applied to Longford County Council for planning permission for an extension to the southern side elevation of the existing national school building.
The extension will consist of the following; (A) 1 No. 80sqm mainstream classroom; (B) 1 No. 10.5sqm user assisted WC; (C) entrance/lobby to link the proposed extension to the existing school building; (D) first floor level storage space & internal access stairway and all ancillary site works.
