Longford gardaí last week arrested a speeding learner driver who also tested positive for cannabis.
Longford Roads Policing Unit detected an unaccompanied learner driver travelling at 94kph in a 50kph zone. The driver claimed to be late for a driving lesson.
The driver subsequently tested positive for cannabis and was arrested. Court proceedings to follow.
