Emergency pavement resurfacing to cause traffic disruptions in Longford town

Longford County Council have issues a notice to road users in the Longford town area regarding traffic disruptions as a consequence of emergency pavement resurfacing works.

The local authority have indicated that the N63 at the junction of New Street and Ballymahon Street will be temporarily closed from 7pm on Monday, October 14, to 4am on Tuesday, October 15 2024 (night time hours) .

The road closure is to facilitate emergency pavement resurfacing works. Local Diversions will be in place.

Longford County Council will put a traffic management systems in place for the duration of the works, but delays can be expected.

Motorists are advised to heed all signs the interest of road safety.

This road closure is in accordance with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75: Temporary Closing of Roads) and Road Regulations 1994 (Article 12).
