Longford District Court: Man to stand trial for robbery of Longford store

A man charged with robbery of a Longford store has been sent forward for trial at Longford Circuit Court.
John Robertson (32), of no fixed abode was served with the book of evidence at Longford District Court last Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Robertson is charged with robbery of Supersavers in Mastertech Business Park, which resulted in the alleged theft of €630 in cash.


Mr Robertson is currently in custody and no bail application was made in this matter, however, defence solicitor, Ms Fiona Baxter, told the court that an application may be made ahead of her client’s appearance at the Circuit Court.

Judge Bernadette Owens proceeded to remand Mr Robertson in custody to appear before Longford Circuit Court on July 9.
