Longford boxer John Nevin
Talented Longford boxer John Nevin travelled over to England to compete in the prestigious Barum Cup in picturesque Devon last week and was a shining light in winning his division.
Son of Martin ‘Butch’ Nevin, young John is affiliated to the Olympic Boxing Club in Galway and won three tough bouts to emerge victorious in the Barum Cup.
John would like to thank his coaches, his family and all his supporters for the latest success. Up next is the senior cadets on Friday and should he win he will represent Ireland in the senior cadets in October.
