This is the fourth year that the lunch has been held in celebration of Junior Club Rugby in Leinster. Derick has given many years of dedicated service and commitment to the Midlands area and Leinster Rugby and to both Mullingar and Longford Rugby Clubs both as a player and administrator. He was an advocate for promoting and introducing both youths and women’s rugby to Longford RFC. Derick is also a former manager of the Leinster Junior team.
