Benefit Dance
A Benefit dance for the family of the late Sean Mulligan, Ballinamuck will take place in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva on Monday, 16th November 2015. Music on the night by Night Fever, Mick Flavin, Noel Cassidy, Jimmy Hussey, Busy Fingers. Tickets cost €10 each - the committee will be out selling tickets over the next few weeks and your support will be very much appreciated. Tickets will also be on sale in Fox’s Gala.
October Mudfest
The race is a 6km run across country and will include obstacles along the way. There is a prize for the fastest men’s and women’s team of €1000 each and a prize of €500 for the fastest individual male and individual female. It will take place on Saturday, October 31. Entry is €25 per person or €200 for a team of ten. Check out facebook and www.octobermudfest.com for updates and details. Please spread the word. Celebrations will take place that night in the Stag’s Head with a fancy dress party and music by Christy and Mono, winners of last years Cavan’s Got Talent
Craft Fair
Craft Fair and bake sale will take place on Saturday, October 31 at 11am in Curraghcahill hall. Baked treats, original art, artisan soap and gifts, handcrafted gifts and aloe skincare will be available on the day. Please support

Wedding bells
Congratulations to Sharon Treacy, daughter and Sean and Marion, Aughagray and John Dowd from Newtownforbes who recently got married in Perth church. The celebrants were Fr. McEoin and Fr. McGowan. Bridesamids were Denise Cahill, Geraldine Moran and Yvonne Dowd. Groomsmen were Paddy Dowd, Paul Barden and Colin Clarke. Flower girl and page boy were Amy and Cian Treacy. All the guests enjoyed a beautiful meal and music in Glasson Golf and Country Club. We wish the happy couple all the best in the years to come.
Congratulations to Clare Lane, daughter of Michael and Carmel, Gurteenreevagh and John Naughton, Ardagh who recently married in Holy Trinity Church and the celebrant Fr. Brendan O Sullivan and concelebrated by Fr. Brian Brennan and Fr. Pat Lennon. The maid of honour was Paula Lane and bridesmaids were Pauline Brady, Yvonne O Connell and Nadine Kiernan. The bestman was Colm Glynn and groomsmen were Cyril Naughton, Fran Deffew and Declan Gannon. Flowergirls and page boy were Emma Lane, Holly Duggan, Hannah and Sean Skelly. All the guests enjoyed a fantastic meal followed by brilliant music in Kilronan Castle. We wish Clare and John a long and happy life together.
