Scor AGM
The AGM of Scor will take place on Thursday, 9th October at 8.30 in Aras Ui Bhrian. Arrangements for heats of Scor na nOg will also be discussed along with any other business. A member of each GAA club is asked to attended.
Receptionist/Administrator - CE Scheme – Edgeworthstown
This position will be in St Mary’s Childcare Campus, Edgeworthstown.
Duties to include: Administration. Reception. General office duties, telephone, typing, faxing, filing, email. Good communication skills. This is a developmental opportunity, no experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. Health food made easy
This is a 6 session course, with all sessions having a practical cookery element. The programme is peer led by trained Food and Health instructors from the Food and Health Project. Groups are encouraged to gain hands-on experience of preparing and cooking basic health, good value tasty dishes. Groups also learn about the food pyramid and discuss balance in their diet, fats, fibre, shopping tips etc. A community Dietician meets with the groups on session 5 to answer any extra question that may arise during the course. There are currently 17 people attending the first courses. Places are available on the second course which is booked to commence on Thursday, 6th November 2014. Mostrim GAA
There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 2, 14, 19, 24. Twenty-five euro winners were John Coyle, Mel Hughes, Jean Pugh and Esther Grehan.
Adult Art
A six week course in painting, using either oils or acrylics will take place Tuesday mornings in the Heritage Center, Ardagh. Classes will run from 10.30 am to 12.30. Suitable for beginners or intermediate students. Contact Loretto at 0868478527 for details.
