Deaths
Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the souls of Breda Arthurton, Strattford, London, England, who died on Sunday, 30 March, sister of Anne Brady, Springtown, a native of Castlepollard. Your prayers are also requested for the happy repose of the soul of Frank (Francie) Coyle, Ballinacross, Granard, Co. Longford who died on 10 April. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Cellie, daughters Margaret, Josephine and Terrie, son Noel, sister Philomena, grandchildren David, Paul, Lucy, and Conor, relatives, many friends and neighbours. May they rest in peace.
Confessions
Confessions for Holy week and Easter will be celebrated tonight, Wednesday 16 April in Abbeylara Church at 8pm. A number of visiting priests will be present to hear your Confessions individually. Please come and avail of this special grace for Holy Week and Easter.

Takes place every Wednesday night at 8.45pm in the Community Centre Granard. Proceeds go towards St. Mary’s Granard and Abbeylara GAA Clubs. Jackpot is now €15,200. Seats are limited with this big Jackpot so come along early. IT COULD BE YOU!
Tidy Towns
Abbeylara Tidy Towns Committee is holding their next meeting on 24 April in Sports Centre. We are hoping for a big turnout of local residents because we are only one month away from this year’s judging, which begins on 1st June. Looking at the Village this week, we have lots to do and so I would ask each resident to make that special effort and keep the front of their premises looking their best. See you at the next meeting.
Country Markets
