Autumn Club: The Autumn Club are going bowling on next Tuesday night, February 26th in the Mulvey Centre, Carrick-on-Shannon. Lanes are booked for 7pm. Refreshments will be served afterwards. This promises to be an enjoyable event. Classes in photography techniques and reflexology / aromatherapy are scheduled to take place in the near future. Dates and times will be confirmed at a later stage.
Recent Birth: Congratulations to Fiona and Patrick Kane, Drumgildra on the recent birth of their baby boy, Nathan, a beautiful little brother for Sarah and Leah. We wish this family much health and happiness.
Football Fare: Gortletteragh kicked off their 2013 Senior league campaign on Sunday last at Annaghmore with a tough game against Glencar/Manor. They played really well and were unlucky to go under by just a single point. They lined out without their inspirational player, Cathal McCrann through injury. Cathal was injured the previous Sunday in the county game against Clare and will be out of action for some weeks with a cast on his arm. We wish him a speedy recovery. We also wish the new senior manager, Mark Heslin well in the job. Gortletteragh play Mohill in Round 2 of the league on Sunday morning next and this is another home game. The Field: The world famous play, John B Keane’s ‘The Field’ will be performed by The Glenasmole Drama Group from Dublin in Cloone Community Centre on Saturday night 23rd of February at 8pm. Admission 10 euro.
