BALLYMORE DRAW: Ballymore Gaa held their monthly draw in Creegan’s on Sunday night July 31st last and the first prize of one thousand euro was won by Raymond Beglan Mullahoran while Peter and Helen Reynolds Seamus and Mary Reilly Ita Connel and Noel Geraghty and Michael Bric won one hundred euro each. Next draw in McElvaney’s on Sunday night August 28th.
SYMPATHY: We offer sincere and deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Pearse Daly who passed to his eternal reward on Thursday last. Pearse compiled the North Longford notes for the last thirty years and just retired last week. It was always a joy to read Pearse’s notes as they were always full of information and his ability to pay a fitting tribute to the recently deceased was just outstanding. Pearse will be sadly missed by all and we pray that his gentle soul will rest in peace.
