Congratulations to Ian and Elaine Campbell on the birth of their first baby, a boy recently. This young man is to be named Dillon and he is a welcome grandson for Eileen Campbell, Muckerstaff, Coolarty.
Christmas greetings
I would like to extend sincere greetings for a very happy, peaceful and safe Christmas to all readers of the Bunlahy notes and especially to all who may be spending the festive season away from home. To all who will have to work in order to provide essential services and to all who care for the sick. I extend a warm welcome to all who will return to the Area to spend Christmas with family and friends and hope that everyone has a good time.

Sincere and heartfelt sympathy is offered to Mrs. Teresa Vance and her family, Michelle, Colette, Jennifer, Niall and Declan on the sad death of Eugene which occurred last week following an illness. May he rest in peace.
Country Markets
Patrons of Granard Country Markets are reminded that the last market before Christmas is on Friday, December 19th from 8-30am to 11-00am. All at the market wish their customers and friends a very happy Christmas and thank them for their support in 2014.The market will reopen on Friday January 16th 2015 and look forward to continued support.
Elaine on radio
Congratulations and well done to double All Ireland champion, Elaine Reilly, Ballymore who was a guest on the Paddy Ryan show on Shannonside last Sunday night. Elaine gave of her best and played some lovely tunes and informed us all that she will be on Radio 1 on St. Stephen’s night at 9pm, so make sure to tune in.
Ballymore ladies draw
Ballymore ladies GAA club held their annual draw on Saturday night in McElvaneys bar and the following were the winners. First prize went to Mick Flynn, Cavan; 2nd Shane Dempsey, 3rd Kim Creegan, 4th Aishling McAndrew, the following won spot prizes Brian Sheridan, Rosita McNerney, Hynes Family, Dublin; Philip O’Hara, Paddy Tighe, Paul Smith, Trisha Walkin, Patrica Shaughnessy. The ladies wish to sincerely thank all the parents and players who bought and sold tickets and all who sponsored the prizes and to all the great musicians who provided the entertainment on the night and to the McElvaney family for their hospitality. Congratulations and well done to Carol Duffy McCabe who won player of the year. Richly deserved.
