Pony Show Hunt

This Saturday sees the Pony Show committee host their now annual hunt, which starts at

12pm in the village. This is a great sight, so please come out and support.

GAA

Membership is due for 2014. €30 per adult or €50 for a couple. Payable to Michael O’Sullivan or Micheál Carrigy.

Table Quiz

Longford Toastmasters are holding a table-quiz on March 27th at 9pm in the Rugby Club.

Registration is at 8.30pm. Table of 4 is €40. Raffle and spot prizes on the night.

Auction

The local Tidy Towns are holding a fundraiser auction on Saturday, 29th March at 12pm in the Thomas Ashe Hall. Anyone who wishes to give items for the auction can bring them to the hall on Friday evening at 7.30pm or drop into Padraig Farrell or Micheál Carrigy. Please support. We are also looking for volunteers to help with Spring Clean Week, which covers all roads leaving the village. Bags, pickers and gloves will be provided.

Playground

The playground will be opened in a few weeks time, weather permitting. The committee are holding the annual Parish Dance on Easter Sunday night as a fundraiser. The event takes place in Rawles and all funds go towards the costs associated with developing the playground. We hope that all locals and parents especially will support the even for this fantastic facility.
