Gowna parish
urged to give blood

Blood donors in the lakeside village of Loch Gowna and surrounding parishes are being urged to come forward this week after a recent drop in supply levels.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service made the plea this week as it looks to replenish donations in the run up to the Summer season.

As such, the organisation are especially keen to supplement supplies in both its O Positive and O Negative blood type categories and have appealed for donors to come forward.

Both today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) St Brigid’s Community Centre in Loch Gowna will play host to two alternate donation evenings.

Clinic opening times have been scheduled for 5pm to 8pm. For further information, contact the organisation’s lo-call line 1850 731137 or phone John Healy at 041 6859994.
