Annaduff were beaten 1-9 to 1-3 by Aughawillan in Annaduff on Saturday. Derek Kelleher’s team playing with the wind led at the break by 1-2 to 0-4 however The Willies were the better team in the second half and ran out deserving winners.Kenny Cox opened the scoring with a point from a well taken “45†in the 4th minute .Aughawillan got the next two points before county star Ray Cox got in behind the Willies defence to score a goal in the 20th minute.Aughawillan got their third point in the 23rd minute . Ray Cox got a point in the 28th minute followed by an Aughawillan point leave the score at the break 1-2 to 0-4 in favour of the home side.Joe Cox opened the second half scoring with a pointed free in the 33rd minute, this was Annaduff’s last score of the match with Aughawillan scoring 1-5 without reply to run out deserving winners by six points.
