Weir Lodge win Pool league

Frank Moran’s Weir Lodge beat Tommy Cox team in the final of the Rooskey Pool League. Tommys team led 7-2 after the first leg however in an amazing comeback The Weir won in the second leg. John Sweeney was the winning captain. The other teams who took part were C.J’s, The Kon Tiki and Reynolds.

Leitrim /Roscommon marriage

Congratulations to Fergus Beirne, Annaduff and Joanne Dunne, Elphin who got married in St. Joseph’s Church, Bornacoola on Saturday last. Reception took place in the Farnham Estate Hotel, Cavan. We wish them many years of happiness.

Goal Mile

Noel Mahon is once again running the hugely successful Goal Mile at the Bornacoola G.A.A Grounds in Dromod on New Years Day. Guests on the day include Sean Mahon, Charlie McGettigan, Seamus O’Rourke and Olympian Laura Reynolds. Auction of signed jerseys of Dublin, Cork, Mayo, Man Utd, Liverpool, Celtic, Aussi Rules, Roy Keane, accomodation in Kilronan, Wineport Lodge and much more.

Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is extended to Sheila and Frank Reynolds, Curragha, Eslin Bridge on the death of Sheila’s father, John Flood, Cloone. May he rest in Peace.

Nativity play

The Christmas Nativity play by the Annaduff National School children takes place per usual before the 7pm Mass on Christmas Eve in Drumsna.

At the draw held in Duignan’s of Drumsna, there was no Jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 4, 14, 21, 23. The 50 euro winner was Clare Beirne, Drumgildra. The 25 euro winners were Liz Conlon, Drumcree; Grainne Reynolds, Drumcree House; Sean Quigley, Drumsna; Jason Lyons, Dromod. The next draw takes place in Cox’s Steakhouse Bar, Dromod with a Jackpot of 5,900 euro. There will also be a draw for a Christmas Hamper.

Annaduff National School Carol Service/ Christmas Concert takes place on this Wednesday, December 18 at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff.

I.C.A win quiz

Annaduff I.C.A won the I.C.A Quiz in the Bush Hotel and now head for the finals in An Grianan in Februrary. The winning team was Irene Beirne, Anne Beirne, Anne Daly .
