The local lotto draw was held on Sunday night last. Numbers drawn were 14, 22, 26 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. €40 went to Ríona Chapman. €20 each went to Rite Killian, Lionel Gouldsbury, Michael and Donal. The next draw will take place in Magans Bar, Killashee on Sunday 20th October for a jackpot of €5,240. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Tidy Towns

Following on from our successful showing in this years Tidy Towns competition, Killashee Tidy Towns Committee are planning a fundraising event to support further improvements in the village. They are hosting a stand at the forthcoming Car Boot sale in Flancare Park on

the October Bank Holiday weekend. This is a good opportunity to declutter and help your community! We will take unwanted gifts, small household items, bric-a-brac, toys and small tools. These can be dropped into The Chestnut Tree any evening between 6pm-9pm. Alternatively, collection can be organised by texting 086-4083393. All proceeds from the sale of these items will go directly to improvements and developments in your village.

5km Fun Run/Walk

Tesco Longford Annual 5km Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday 20th October at 11am in the Mall Complex. Registration on the day from 10am. Entry fee is €10 per adult and €5 per child. All proceeds go to Aware. Medals for all participants and great prizes for all category winners. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Refreshments served.


Training opportunities for People in receipt of any Disability/Illness payment commences in the EDI Centre, Longford. This eight week part time programme includes FETAC accredited modules with work experiences included. To register for this programme contact EDI Centre on 043 33 47515.
