Death of Lil Murray

Sincere sympathy to Mary Murphy and Martin Murray on the death of their mother, LiL Murray. Also to her son in law Batty Murphy, her sister in law Mary Murray, her grandchildren Thomas, Enda, Kenneth, and Marie, her great grandchildren and her extended family and wide circle of friends. Her funeral mass is at 12 noon, Wedensday morning with burial afterwards to Rathaspic Cemetery. R.I.P.

Death of Margaret Quinn

Sincere sympathy to Geraldine, May, Greta on the death of their mother, Margaret and her extended family and friends. RIP. Margarets funeral took place last Wedensday to Boherquill cemetery.

Halloween Monster Mash

The parents group are holding a Monster Mash in the Street Parish Park on Friday, 31st October 2014 from 5 to 7p.m.. Tickets are now on sale at €5.00 each and discounts apply for 2 or more children. There will be light refreshments for both children and parents, a disco and a pumpkin carving competition. Please contact a member of the parents group for more information. Prizes on the night for the best costumes. Parents are requested to come in Fancy Dress also.

Marty Connaughton is looking for lads to come on board for Movember, its all for a great cause. The shave will take place in Connaughton’s pub on 29th November, please support. Ladies are welcome too.

Race night

Rathowen FC are holding a Race night in Connaughton’s Pub on Saturday, 25th October at 9pm, support will be appreciated.

CD Launch

Rosaleen Maguire from Rathowen will be launching her new CD in the Longford Arms on the 9th December at 9pm, your support will be very welcome. Best of good luck to Rosaleen.

Lotto results

Jackpot of €4,100 was not won. The draw winners were Ruth Rodgers, Lily O’Connor and Linda Rodgers. Sellers prize to Mary Murphy. Jackpot next draw will be €4,200 and the draw will take place on the 28/10/2014 in Connaughton’s Pub.
