Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard is currently enrolling for FETAC Level 5 courses in Animal Care and Nursing Studies. These FETAC Level 5 courses are suitable for both school leavers and mature students who wish to return to education and gain new skills or employment. They also provide links to certain courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology and can be worth up to 400 points. Students may be eligible for further education grants and be able to retain their social welfare benefits subject to usual conditions. The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Sunday 1 September. Ceremonies begin at 2.30pm with the Anointing of the Sick and Mass will be celebrated at3.00pm. Rainbows support group
This is a group that supports children experiencing loss and trauma due to bereavement or family separation. The group will have an Open Evening on September 19 at 8pm in Lus Na Greine, Granard to give Parents/Guardians an outline of what they can expect from the support programme.

A Monster Barn Dance will take place in Rawle’s, Ballinalee this Friday 30 August. €200 for Best Fancy Dress – Fancy Dress is Optional. Music by various artists. Special door prize: Flat Screen TV. Longford Dyslexia Workshop provides individual and small group tuition to children experiencing learning difficulties. Classes are held in Longford town on Tuesday evenings.
