It was a very enjoyable weekend. Our Boys U16 Relay team came 2nd in their heat, 3rd in their semi-final and 6th in the final, an excellent performance by the team of Shane Thompson, Edward Coyle, Ciaran Donohoe, Oisín Bennett and Conor Moran. In the Boys U16 100m Ciaran Donohoe came 2nd in his heat, and came 5th in his semi-final final, narrowly missing out on a place in the final. Gavin Farrelly and James Moran took part in the Boys U8 80m and Boys U12 100m sprint respectively, ran well but didn’t get out of their heats. Our Boys U12 Relay team consisting of James Moran, Evan Farrelly, Euan Finneran, Enda Bracken, Jack Lennon and Eoghan Smith came up against tough opposition also on the day and didn’t progress to the semi-finals. Well done to all the Killoe participants who represented their Parish and County very well. Hope you had an enjoyable experience at the Finals. Many thanks to Rita Moran for the great work and support she put in, in training the athletes over the summer and for managing them over the weekend. Thanks also to the Killoe supporters for the encouragement that you gave to our competitors. Thanks to all who helped out in any way.
