Congrats to Emmet Flood, Mostrim Oaks who is through to the Leinster final of Stars in our Bars competition, to be held in The Darnley Arms, Athboy on Thursday May 26th . There will be a bus organised for supporters, Names to Pauline on 086-1513152.

COUNTY FLEADH

The County Fleadh in Granard was a great success with a large contingent of performers coming from Edgeworthstown members of The Joe Callaghan Branch of CCE. Some of the performances were outstanding, ie. The Grupa Ceoil trained by Jackie Callaghan, The under 12 ceili Band trained by Martin Murphy and the under 10’s performers including 15 young bodhran players trained by Maeve Donnelly. The under 15 Set Dancing team from Edgeworthstown danced brilliantly and are on their way to Leinster as are many young musicians from the Town.

RECENT DEATHS

Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the late Kathleen Bloomer of Cullyvore who passed away on Saturday, May, 7th at her home and sympathy is also extended to the family and friends of the Late Billy Mc’Loughlin, who passed away at the weekend in Our Ladys Manor. May they rest in Peace.

GLEN NS REUNION

The next meeting of the committee will take place in Glen NS on Wednesday, 11th May at 8.30pm. All are welcome to attend.
