All Souls Day
All Souls Day is celebrated on Sunday, 2 November. Mass will be celebrated in Abbeylara on Saturday, 1st November at 7.30pm and on Sunday, 2nd November 11.00am and 7.00pm. It will be celebrated in Carra on Sunday 2nd November at 9.30 am. The Divine Mercy Rosary will be prayed before and or after each Mass on Saturday, 1st and Sunday, 2nd November for the Holy Souls.
St. Bernard’s N.S Abbeylara is having a clothes collection on Tuesday, 4 November. Any unwanted Men’s Women’s & Children’s Clothing, Shoes, Belts, Handbags, Ties, Linens, Household Textiles, Stuffed toys etc., (Mobile Phones placed in a separate bag) can be dropped off at the school anytime before 12noon.

AED/Defibrillator and CPR Training will take place on Saturday, 8 November in Abbeylara National School at 10.00am. Abbeylara AED’s are registered with the National Ambulance Service, Ambulance Control Centre since 2013. In the event of a cardiac arrest in an area of 2Km of the defibrillator, the caller can now be advised of its location. AED’s are on exterior walls located At Bridie Kiernan’s Dalystown, Carra Church, Pat McHugh’s Precast Springtown, Frank Malones Ballywillian, Abbeylara N.S, Dressing room Wall GAA Grounds, and Peter Reilly Renehan. A representative from the National Ambulance Service, Ambulance Control Centre will attend on the day.
