New principal

New principal

We are delighted to announce that Sheila Lambden has been appointed as the new principle of St Mary’s NS. We wish Sheila well for the future in her new position.

Iggy Fulham Tournament

The senior classes travelled to Milltown to take part in the Iggy Fulham Tournament on Wednesday last. Many thanks to the parents who helped out on the day and with transport. Much appreciated as always

School tour

4th 5th and 6th class travelled to Tanagh Activity Centre in Monaghan on Thursday last for their school tour, a great day was had by all.

Good2Talk

Are having a 5k road race in Rathowen on Wednesday, June the 11 at 8pm. Registration will take place in St Mary’s Hall at 6.30pm. Please support Adults 10 euro, Children 5 euro.

Lotto

Jackpot now stands at 3.200 euro and the draw will take place in Connaughton’s Pub on 9/06/2014. Please support.

Tidy Towns

Are looking for volunteers to help clean up the village, ie pick litter etc., if you have a little spare time on your hands on Saturday from 10am to 12 or from 3pm to 5pm, it would be much appreciated. Meet in Connaughton’s car park.

Well done

Congrats to Julieanne Moran, Killenaugh, Rathowen, who came first in the Dog Jumping competition at the Mullingar horse show last Monday. This is Julieanne 4th year in a row to win this title with her dog Patch. A great achievement.

Birthday wishes

Happy birthday to Tereasa Cox, Bardenstown, Rathowen, who celebrated her 50th in Ferricks on Friday night. Also happy 30th to Dolores Ledwith who celebrated her birthday with a party in Ferricks, a great night had by all.
